  • 42% of adults have a steprelationship.

  • About 75% (1.2 million Americans) of those who divorce will eventually remarry.

  • Single-parent families rose high in 2005 to 37% of families.

  • There are 35 million Americans in the US today who are remarried.

  • Americans who divorce each year eventually remarry and most have children.

  • Children from homes where the biological parents are married tend to be more academically successful.

  •  Everyone's roles shift's once you create a step-family.

  • The unpredictable part of having blended family, are the kids reactions. The reactions can either be postive or negative. 

  • About 100 million Americans have a step relationship.

  • 1/3 of weddings in America today form stepfamiles.

  • 85% of U.S population will marry at least once in their lifetime.

  • Children tend to react to the "blended familes" concept negatively. 

  • More than 1/4 of the U.S population marry over the age of 50. (This most likely doesn't have an effect on the child because the child shouldn't be living with his/her parents by now, based on the circumstances that they are in.)
